Collections Specialist

Clayton Services is searching for a Collections Specialist to join a thriving company in the Southeast Houston area.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (approximately 30 hours/week)

Work Setting: Hybrid

Pay Rate: $24.00-$26.00/hour

Collections Specialist Responsibilities

• Contact customers to collect outstanding payments via telephone, email, and mail.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer correspondence.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers
• Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action
• Collaborate with accounting and sales teams to resolve billing discrepancies
• Prepare and send regular reports on collection activities and account status
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Collections Specialist Education and Experience:

• A minimum of a high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a collections specialist is required.
• Knowledge and understanding of billing and collection processes are required.
