Job Description
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Record tenant rent payments and monitor outstanding receivables
- Prepare and process bank deposits
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts on a monthly basis
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date
- Prepare monthly financial statements for property ownership
- Assist with annual operating budgets and budget variance reporting
- Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation
- Process and reconcile security deposits
- Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
- Manage collections and monitor outstanding tenant balances
- Assist with lease administration and maintain accurate lease records
- Coordinate annual 1099 reporting
- Assist with CAM reconciliations and tenant billings
- Maintain mortgage and loan schedules
- Record depreciation and fixed asset additions
- Work with outside CPAs during year-end tax preparation
- Maintain organized accounting and property records
- Assist with special accounting projects and other duties as assigned
- Commercial real estate or property management accounting experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
