Position: Grounds Maintenance Worker

Location: Semmes, AL

Pay: $15.50/hour

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm

Clark Personnel is seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Worker to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor properties. This position involves litter patrol, weed eating, and general landscape maintenance while working outdoors in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining well-kept grounds, and can work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Job Description

• Perform daily litter patrol and remove trash and debris from assigned areas.
• Operate weed eaters, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment to maintain grounds and vegetation.
• Mow, trim, and maintain grass, weeds, and landscaped areas as needed.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies when operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and maintain landscaping tools and equipment, reporting any repairs needed.
• Assist with additional groundskeeping and landscaping duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of public and private properties.
  
  

Position Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Experience using weed eaters, trimmers, mowers, and other landscaping equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, walking, kneeling, and standing throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools.
