SKCO Automotive is an established independent used car dealership in Mobile, Alabama, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. Responsibilities

• Process and post vehicle sales deals.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank accounts, floor plan accounts, and credit card statements.
• Post daily deposits and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Maintain vehicle inventory accounting.
• Process vendor invoices and customer refunds.
• Coordinate payroll information with payroll providers.
• Review deal jackets for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with title and payoff accounting.
• Generate financial and management reports.
• Maintain confidential employee and financial records.
• Perform general administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
• Automotive dealership accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with DealerCenter, Frazer, AutoStar, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional attitude with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
