Our client is a mission-driven nonprofit seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Development Associate to support their Individual Giving team. This role provides essential administrative, donor stewardship, and operational support during a coverage period from June through November 2026, with the potential for extension.
Schedule: Hours 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Onsite Tues & Thurs, remote Mon, Wed & Fri
Location: Mid-Town Manhattan

What you'll do
- Admin & team support — take meeting notes, track fundraising deadlines, and assist with cross-functional coordination and special projects
- CRM & operations — maintain accurate donor records, enter meeting notes and follow-ups, support gift processing, and assist with data cleanup and reporting
- Donor stewardship — draft thank-you notes, stewardship communications, and gift agreements using established templates
- Research & materials — conduct donor and prospect research and prepare briefing materials and campaign support documents
What we're looking for
- 1–3 years of experience in development, nonprofit administration, executive support, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (required); Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting professional correspondence
- Ability to handle confidential donor and organizational information with discretion
