Role Description
This is a full-time role, located in Stamford, CT. The Development Associate is responsible for the administration of our CRM database, timely processing of donations and acknowledgement letters, and supporting the functions and initiatives of the Development and Finance Offices. The role also includes preparing targeted lists for fundraising campaigns, providing support for external communications and other marketing deliverables created with the assistance of our Marketing contractor, and updates to our websites to support campaigns and special events (laurelhouse.net and rtor.org).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1-3 years of development experience preferred
- Required computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel and email and familiarity with standard database applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact on occasion with donors and sponsors by email, in-person, and by phone
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the team, supporting the Mission of Laurel House
Minimum Requirements
- 1-3 years working in fundraising or development
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug test
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Good command of English language
- Experience/competence in use of CRM software
