Key Responsibilities
· Monitor daily surgical schedules to ensure proper staffing and OR readiness
· Create staff schedules and assign daily responsibilities for OR and Radiology Tech personnel
· Support orientation, training, and competency evaluation of OR nurses and surgical tech staff
· Serve as a mentor and clinical resource while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
· Coordinate with surgeons and vendor representatives regarding surgical equipment and case requirements
· Perform circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures
· Conduct patient assessments including vitals, nursing history, and pre/post-operative care
· Develop and implement individualized patient care and education plans
· Prepare operating rooms, sterile instruments, and surgical supplies
Qualifications
· Graduate of an accredited nursing program
· Active Tennessee RN license
· Minimum 2 years of circulating nurse experience
· Current BLS certification
