As the Bank continues to expand its presence in the growing Coweta and Fayette County markets, we are seeking an experienced commercial banking professional who is passionate about community banking and excited to play a key role in growing the Bank's commercial lending portfolio and market presence.
Position Summary
The Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Officer with established business relationships and a strong reputation within the Coweta and/or Fayette County markets. This individual will be responsible for developing new commercial lending relationships, managing an existing portfolio, and serving as a trusted financial advisor to local business owners and commercial clients.
The ideal candidate is a proven business developer who understands the local market, has experience originating and managing commercial loans, and is motivated by the opportunity to help expand the Bank's commercial lending footprint throughout Coweta and Fayette Counties.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a commercial loan portfolio by cultivating relationships with business owners, real estate investors, professional service firms, and community leaders throughout Coweta and Fayette Counties.
- Identify and originate new commercial lending opportunities, including owner-occupied real estate, investment real estate, working capital, equipment financing, and other commercial credit needs.
- Maintain and deepen existing client relationships through proactive business development and exceptional customer service.
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral to assess creditworthiness and structure appropriate lending solutions.
- Prepare and present loan packages for approval in accordance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor portfolio performance and manage ongoing credit relationships.
- Represent the Bank within the local business community through networking organizations, community events, and economic development initiatives.
- Collaborate with Bank leadership and internal partners to support strategic growth initiatives in the market.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial lending and business development experience.
- Demonstrated success developing commercial banking relationships within Coweta County, Fayette County, or surrounding South Metro Atlanta markets.
- Existing network of business and professional contacts in the local market strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial credit, financial analysis, and loan structuring skills.
- Experience managing a commercial loan portfolio and identifying opportunities for portfolio growth.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate, C&I lending, and SBA lending programs is preferred.
- Proven ability to generate new business and serve as a trusted advisor to commercial clients.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent commercial banking experience.
