On behalf of a local Non-Profit, we are seeking a dedicated HR Benefits Analyst to oversee employee total rewards, payroll tax compliance, and essential human resources administration. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in benefits strategy, a firm grasp of employment tax regulations, and a working knowledge of corporate insurance frameworks.
Compensation: $55,000 - 65,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities of the HR Benefits Analyst:
- Total Rewards Management: Direct the administration of comprehensive medical, retirement, and wellness offerings; serve as the primary resource for staff inquiries and open enrollment periods.
- Tax Compliance Oversight: Maintain adherence to statutory tax requirements (including FICA, FUTA, etc.) and partner with the payroll department to ensure precise tax reporting.
- Generalist HR Assistance: Facilitate the employee lifecycle by supporting onboarding, maintaining digital personnel files, and coordinating the performance evaluation process.
- Risk & Insurance Coordination (Optional): Assist in the oversight of commercial insurance policies and provide support during the claims resolution process.
- Governance & Reporting: Lead the preparation of mandatory government filings and internal benefits audits to ensure total regulatory alignment.
Qualifications of the HR Benefits Analyst:
- Strong command of employment tax legislation, including federal, state, and local requirements.
- Advanced skill in utilizing HRIS platforms, payroll ecosystems, and specialized benefits enrollment portals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health, dental, life, and 401(k)/retirement plan structures.
- At least 2 years of professional experience specialized in benefits administration and payroll tax functions.
- Prior exposure to managing corporate or organizational insurance portfolios is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (equivalent experience considered).
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a high level of discretion regarding confidential data.
