The City of Waynesboro Commissioner of the Revenue’s office is seeking a professional individual with excellent customer service skills. The applicant will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Graduation from high school with at least two years’ experience in local property tax, financing, customer service and a general knowledge of tax laws and procedures is preferred. Applicant must have a thorough knowledge of modern office practices to include computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties include but are not limited to: Processing personal property, business license, and state income taxes; assist in the general operation of the Commissioner of the Revenue’s office; prepare and maintain records; assist citizens while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the Constitution of Virginia.
Starting Salary is $45,000 - 48,000.
