About This Position
Over 52 million passengers traveled through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 2024, one of the busiest airports in the country and in the nation's 5th largest city. Sky Harbor is the largest of three airports in the Phoenix Airport System (Phoenix Sky Harbor, Deer Valley, and Goodyear airports) which is operated by the City of Phoenix Aviation Department and has an economic impact over $44 billion annually.
The Aviation Department has a vacancy for a Records Clerk position within the Ground Transportation and Lost and Found Office.
This position performs clerical functions, which may vary based on assignment. Duties include reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy; retrieving a large volume of material; researching electronic and paper documents; classifying, correcting, filing, storing, and scanning documents into a document / records management system. Other duties include customer service contact over the telephone, internet / e-mail, and in-person; operating computers to perform query and data entry functions; responding to information requests, processing registration forms, and accepting legal claims against the City.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Pay Range: $18.60 - $27.40 per hour.
Hiring Range: $18.60 - $21.54 per hour.

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to answer a large volume of calls, perform cash handling, and balancing duties.
- Strong computer skills related to database entry, reviewing entries, and documents for completeness and accuracy.
Pay Range: $18.60 - $27.40 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
- One year of clerical recordkeeping experience, including experience working with computerized records systems.
- Other combinations of education and experience that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- Working conditions:
- Moving light objects weighing less than 50 pounds such as mail, supplies, files, and luggage.

- Two years of experience:
- Using Microsoft Office, SAP, or equivalent.
- Using data entry programs and software.
- Providing face to face customer service and answering phones.
- Experience reviewing, indexing, scanning and retrieving electronic documents.
- Experience providing busy front counter customer service, follow through and resolution to internal and external customer requests.
