Police Aides play a vital role in the seamless operation of police precincts and bureaus, serving as the essential first point of contact for citizens and ensuring that daily functions run with precision and professionalism. They are entrusted with greeting members of the public and responding to both routine and emergency inquiries, whether in person or over the telephone, with a calm and efficient demeanor. Their responsibilities extend to safeguarding the readiness of the precinct's vehicle fleet by maintaining and logging keys for each shift, guaranteeing operational readiness at all times. Police Aides also uphold the integrity of police records by accurately entering information into official databases, while simultaneously managing department supplies and equipment to support the needs of officers and staff. Through these critical clerical and administrative duties, Police Aides embody reliability, organization, and service, making them indispensable to the mission of public safety and community trust.
Location: 1902 S. 16th ST, Phoenix, AZ 85034
Shift: 4/10 schedule, assigned to weekends on the second shift. Specific hours will be determined based on precinct operational needs.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
SALARY
Pay and Hiring Range: $16.47 to $22.08 per hour.
Pay Range Explanation:

- Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
Internal Only: Please understand that this is pay grade 324. If selected, your salary offer will be based on the applicable promotion or demotion worksheet in accordance with the City Pay Ordinance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine clerical work.
- and six months of public contact or customer assistance experience.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus experience in/with:
- Staffing a reception desk and answering a multi-line telephone system.
- Managing office supplies.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Performing general administrative duties.
