The Public Works Department is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Data Operations Specialist to provide structured oversight of operational data integrity across the Solid Waste IS systems. The position will be responsible for centralizing operational data responsibilities, including exception monitoring, cross-system reconciliation, and governance support, to strengthen reliability and accountability. Along with the responsibility of providing exceptional customer service and of continuously improving overall processes.

The Public Works Department is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Data Operations Specialist to provide structured oversight of operational data integrity across the Solid Waste IS systems. The position will be responsible for centralizing operational data responsibilities, including exception monitoring, cross-system reconciliation, and governance support, to strengthen reliability and accountability. Along with the responsibility of providing exceptional customer service and of continuously improving overall processes.
Duties Include
- Updating multiple logs and records.
- Update records in a computerized database.
- Compiling work statistics for management reports.
- Use graphic information such as maps, charts, tables, drawings, and other visual aids.
- Knowledge of business software such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and email.
Knowledge Of
- Quality Assurance cycles and testing.
- Documentation discipline (data dictionaries, change logs).
- Excel proficiency (filters, lookups, pivot tables).
- Ticketing systems (Jira/ServiceNow/Azure DevOps) or similar software.
- Clear issue communication & escalation (incident reporting, cross-team communication, troubleshooting).
Pay Range: $19.54 to $35.08 per hour.
Hiring Range: $19.54 to $30.31 per hour.

- Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of responsible clerical work experience which provides the ability to maintain a variety of financial and related records, perform basic mathematical computations, operate base radios/telephone equipment, order and dispense supplies and materials, and deal with the public.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

- Data validation and exception monitoring.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or similar software.
- Work orders or routing integrations.
- Municipal services, utilities, or logistics operations.
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS/Address) validation familiarity or similar software.
- Cross-system reconciliation.
- Basic/SQL or similar software.
