Coordinates and supports the City’s recruitment, hiring, and outreach efforts by performing administrative, communication, and applicant engagement functions. Works to attract, inform, and guide candidates through the hiring process while supporting Human Resources operations and enhancing the City’s employment brand.
Starting pay $27.0201/hr. Provided benefits include but are not limited to, health insurance, group life insurance, wellness program, and CERS retirement through Kentucky Retirement Systems. Paid time off includes vacation, sick time, and holidays (for eligible employees).

- Coordinates and administers recruitment processes for Public Safety and non-civil service positions, including creating job requisitions, posting positions, processing applications, and supporting selection activities.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for applicants by providing information, guidance, and timely communication throughout the hiring process.
- Supports outreach efforts to attract candidates, including assisting with job fairs, advertising, social media, and promotional materials.
- Prepares and distributes recruitment-related communications, including job postings, exam notices, score notifications, eligibility lists, and other correspondence.
- Maintains and updates applicant tracking systems, databases, and recruitment records to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Assists with coordination of testing, interviews, and hiring processes, including scheduling, materials preparation, and communication with candidates and departments.
- Performs administrative support related to recruitment and HR operations, including preparing reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents.
- Coordinates civil service processes, including exam scoring, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, ensuring quorum, and maintaining required documentation.
- Maintains records and files in accordance with retention requirements and confidentiality standards.

- Associates degree in secretarial or job-related field
- OR
- Minimum 3 years HR or recruiting experience
- Valid driver's license
- Notary Public license required upon employment
