Armed Security Officer Responsibilities
- Monitor vehicles approaching the dam and follow established screening procedures
- Turn away vehicles that exceed weight limits in accordance with site rules
- Accurately document and report all vehicles that are redirected
- Observe and report weather conditions that may require pass closures
- Maintain situational awareness, follow post orders, and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Valid Colorado Security Guard License (Guard Card) or the ability to obtain one
- Minimum of 2 years of armed security experience
- Ability to carry a firearm under federal, state, and site regulations
- Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills
- Two years of experience in critical infrastructure, hospital security, or similar high-security environments
