Armed Security Officer Responsibilities
- Monitor and screen vehicles approaching the dam during overnight hours
- Turn away vehicles exceeding weight restrictions following site procedures
- Accurately document and report all redirected vehicles
- Observe changing weather conditions and notify appropriate contacts when road or pass closures may be needed
- Maintain vigilance in a low-light, low-activity environment
- Follow post orders, site protocols, and safety procedures
- Valid Colorado Security Guard License (Guard Card) or the ability to obtain one
- Minimum of 2 years of armed security experience
- Ability to carry a firearm in compliance with federal, state, and site regulations
- Strong observation and reporting skills
- Ability to maintain alertness and professionalism through extended overnight shifts
- Two years of experience in critical infrastructure or other high-security settings
