The Opportunity
This is a founding sales hire with massive upside. You’ll be the second hire on the GTM team, with ownership of the full sales cycle and the chance to help define how we sell.
You’ll work directly with the founders to:
- Own the full deal lifecycle: from first touch to closed-won, supported by SE resources but accountable for outcomes.
- Expand and refine the playbook: our GTM automation is strong; you’ll scale what works and eliminate what doesn’t.
- Shape the team: as we grow, you’ll help hire and lead the next generation of AEs.
- Get in early: meaningful equity, massive responsibility, and direct impact on company trajectory.
What You’ll Do
- Own the entire sales process: prospect, demo, negotiate, and close.
- Navigate complex, technical sales cycles with buyers like CTOs, security leads, and treasury teams at crypto-native and institutional firms.
- Drive larger, strategic deals ($50K ACV, 3–6 month cycles) rather than transactional volume.
- Build deep relationships across the custody, exchange, and institutional crypto ecosystems - both online and at key industry events.
- Partner closely with product and engineering to bring customer insights and technical feedback to the roadmap.
- Help build the sales foundation - from processes and collateral to pipeline structure and metrics.
Who You Are
Must-Haves
- 3–5 years of closing experience as an AE, ideally as one of the first 1–3 sales hires at an early-stage startup.
- Crypto-native: you’ve worked in web3/crypto and understand custody, infrastructure, exchanges, or wallet security.
- Experience selling technical, complex products to sophisticated buyers.
- Proven success with larger deal cycles (3–6 months, $50K ACV, multiple stakeholders).
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and takes full ownership.
- Based in New York City – hybrid, in-office culture as we build together.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience selling into enterprise or institutional accounts.
- Background building or managing early sales teams.
- Established relationships in custody, institutional trading, or exchange ecosystems.
