About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join the Sensors Team. In this role, you will enhance requirement traceability for the current sensor architecture while defining top-down requirements for next-generation systems. You will partner with autonomy system architects and cross-functional teams to ensure safe and reliable autonomous vehicle performance across diverse real-world scenarios.
What you will be doing:
- Identify and analyze complex use cases and challenging driving scenarios.
- Develop and document system requirements for sensor suites including cameras, radar, and lidar.
- Conduct trade studies to evaluate sensor configurations and system architectures.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure alignment with system requirements.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
About You
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in systems engineering or related roles within autonomous vehicles, aerospace, or robotics.
- Experience analyzing and defining complex systems and scenarios.
- Strong understanding of sensor technologies such as cameras, radar, and lidar.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience with Python or similar languages (e.g., MATLAB) for analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with perception and planning algorithms.
- Experience with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender).
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience using Git.
