JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER II
LOCATION: Chatsworth, CA
SHIFT: Monday - Thursday (6:15 AM - 4:45 PM)
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Engineering (50%)
- Perform value stream mapping and workflow optimization.
- Develop and maintain labor standards and capacity models.
- Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events.
- Analyze production KPIs such as:
- Throughput
- OEE
- WIP levels
- Cycle time
- Design and implement improved factory layouts and material flow systems.
- Support production line balancing across machining, composites, finishing, and testing.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Provide technical support for machining, fiberglass layup, foam operations, finishing, painting, and electrical testing.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and transition to production.
- Investigate root causes of production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with quality engineering on process capability improvements.
- Specify and implement fixtures, tooling, and equipment improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 3-8 years of experience in manufacturing environments
- Strong experience with Lean manufacturing tools and process improvement
- Experience supporting production engineering activities
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Independently develop manufacturing cells layouts, equipment layouts, and facility floor plans
- Designs or modifies basic tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids to support production processes.
- Uses CAD tools to support:
- Production line balancing and flow optimization
- Equipment integration into existing manufacturing systems
- Ergonomic workstation design
- Space utilization and capacity planning
- Any other job duties as assigned.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Knowledge of machining and composite manufacturing processes
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with ERP/MES systems
- Throughput improvement
- Process yield improvement
- Scrap reduction
- Manufacturing issue resolution
- Production efficiency

Pay Range Pay Range
$90,000.00 - $115,000.00 / year
