Cimarron is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.
Key Duties
- Provide Tier II technical support to resolve software, hardware, and related IT issues for Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Deliver customer service and end-user assistance at workstations, docking stations, or other IT assets to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Review and analyze system logs to identify performance and behavior anomalies, determine negative trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify security vulnerabilities in software and hardware platforms and recommend appropriate mitigations.
- Respond to routine inquiries regarding installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products.
- Apply diagnostic techniques to identify issues, investigate root causes, and recommend solutions for common failures.
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior-level Linux and Windows engineers.
- Perform additional cyber-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education :
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification (ex. Security ).
