Cimarron and Amentum are searching for a senior-level Subcontracts Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency(MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) Contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Key Duties
- Prepare solicitations, conduct market research, and issue RFIs to identify qualified sources.
- Analyze and evaluate subcontractor proposals; negotiate scope, schedule, and terms as the primary point of contact.
- Establish, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements, including MSAs and BOAs.
- Develop and refine Statements of Work (SOWs) with defined objectives, deliverables, and outcomes.
- Perform cost/price analyses and provide justification for awards.
- Manage subcontract modifications, invoice reviews, closeouts, and formal documentation.
- Advise project teams on contract type, milestones, and payment schedules tailored to program needs.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, resolve disputes, and issue Letters of Concern when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, corporate policies, and audit requirements; maintain accurate subcontract files.
- Track and present subcontractor metrics to leadership, including award values and processing timelines.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education :

- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- 8 or more years of general, full-time work experience (or equivalent formal education).
- 6 or more years of directly related experience.
- Knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Ability to perform tasks successfully with minimal guidance, manage shifting priorities, and meet short deadlines.
- Responsive, flexible, organized, with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of contractual risks and ability to apply them in subcontract negotiations.
- Working knowledge of multiple contract types (IDIQ, CPIF, T&M, Firm-Fixed Price) and demonstrated ability to interpret and execute federal regulations within contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of the FAR and DFARS, with proven experience interpreting and applying complex regulatory requirements throughout the subcontract lifecycle.
- Subcontract administration experience within the construction industry and government contracting environment.
- Experience negotiating and managing Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
