We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Implement specialized care techniques for residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other neurodevelopmental disabilities, including memory care strategies
- Follow detailed care plans created by healthcare teams to deliver consistent, personalized support for each resident’s unique needs
Skills
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments
- Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with heavy lifting when necessary
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or geriatrics in home or community settings
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams, residents, and families
