Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry
• Support clients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring safety during movement
• Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy standards such as HIPAA and maintain detailed records of patient progress

Requirements

• Proven experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings
• Knowledge of patient observation, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
• Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for patient transfers or mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
• Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to caregiving responsibilities
