Position Description:
Floyd Mays Insurance Agency seeks a dependable, experienced, and customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and employees. This front-facing role is vital in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting daily administrative functions and office operations. This is an in-office position located in Sandston, Virginia.
Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Greet and welcome all visitors, clients, and guests with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and provide general information about the organization.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Direct clients and visitors to the appropriate departments or individuals.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Create internal signage and notices as needed.
- Prepare meeting rooms for in-person meetings, staff gatherings, and celebrations.
- Support the Account Management team and collaborate with other team members as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative support role preferred but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong data entry and administrative skills.
