What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Residential Supervisor position at ChildFirst Services Inc.?
ChildFirst Services Inc. provides support and assistance for youth with disabilities and behavioral issues, ages 14 - 21 years old, to become independent through our Independent Living Program. The Residential Supervisor oversees daily operations, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment for the youth in our care. The EOC manages staff, coordinates care plans, enforces policies, and serves as a role model while promoting youth’s independence and well-being.
SCHEDULE
Shift D: Wednesday 12am - 6am |Thursday- Saturday 6pm-6am
PAYRATE: $60,000 per year
LOCATION: Berks
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate relationships with youth, visitors, families, team members, staff and neighbors by responding to inquiries with tact and sensitivity
- Participates in the development and implementation of Individual Service Plan (ISP)
- Assist the youth with their daily living skills, personal care, education, meal preparation, shopping, social and recreational activities, medical appointments, community life and associated transportation services as necessary
- Responsible for the overall, day-to-day operation of the program, assuring that all youth, staff, and facility/vehicle issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner
- Complete files and maintain all required documentation daily
- Conduct fire drills at least monthly and complete necessary documentation
- Follow all the organization’s policies and procedures
- Respond in accordance with agency policies and procedures for handling emergency situations
- Attend all daily meetings and professional development sessions
- Maintain required certifications in compliance with the State 3800 Regulations
- Maintain residence, vehicle, and equipment in a safe, functional, and secure manner conductive to the youth’s physical well-being
- Assure the overall safety of the youth by maintaining a hazard-free environment and avoiding potentially dangerous situations
- Provide leadership, supervision and direction to youth.
- Conduct weekly supervision with staff
- Ensure policy and procedure compliance with all employees in your charge
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with individuals in a residential, behavioral health to social services setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to oversee multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and support staff while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
