What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Quality Specialist position at Child Care Resource & Referral?
General Description
Provide technical assistance, consultation, including on-site visits, and/or training for the quality rating and improvement system (QRIS).
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide training related to the QRIS as outlined in the IDHS contract, and assist with Quality Improvement Funds.
The Quality Specialist shall use the state-approved IINCCRRA-provided Consultant Agreement for each provider as the center prepares for the ExceleRate (QRIS) application.
Assist with designing a plan that includes implementing and training opportunities.
Offer technical assistance and consultation services specific to the QRIS.
Assist childcare providers in developing and implementing quality improvement plans.
Assist child care providers as needed in completing program assessment(s) within the environmental rating scales (ERS).
Assist childcare programs in identifying and achieving program improvement goals using the Environmental Rating Scale (ERS).
PAssist providers who are working towards improving quality and accreditation.
Ensure marketing strategies are in place to promote QRIS services to other child care centers within SDA 5.
Work collaboratively with all departments and consultants to ensure quality services are provided to our clients and the organization.
Enter the agency’s training, technical assistance, and visits daily, and maintain the Statewide Data Tracking Program (DTP) every month.
Assure a weekly itinerary is provided to the Training Coordinator for review and approval.
Report weekly productivity data to the Training Coordinator.
Maintains required job skills and core professional competencies by attending and participating in professional development, meetings, conferences, and training; minimum 15 hours.
Must be Gateways to Opportunity Registry Members (within 5 days of employment)
Assist with growth and fund development.
Performs other duties as assigned.
