Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly, positive attitude to set the tone for their visit
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
- Escort guests to tables, ensuring smooth seating arrangements and guest comfort
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns courteously and promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong customer service skills with a welcoming demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is preferred
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable; hotel or guest services experience is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest relations best practices
