Assistant Controller

We’re hiring a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to step into a high‑impact role supporting senior finance leadership and helping bring accounting operations fully in‑house. This position is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional with strong Sage Intacct experience, especially with dashboards and reporting, who’s ready to operate at a lead level and grow toward a future Controller role.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the #2 in the accounting function, reporting directly to senior finance leadership
• Own general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and month‑end close
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and management reports
• Build and maintain Sage Intacct dashboards, custom reports, and high‑level reporting
• Manage and reconcile transactions across multiple systems, including vendor invoices, credit cards, bank activity, and intercompany entries
• Understand and troubleshoot integrations between accounting and operational systems
• Handle invoicing, accounts receivable, and collections support
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements
• Support and collaborate with cross‑functional teams as needed

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Advanced Sage Intacct proficiency (required) — dashboards, reporting, and customization
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and best practices
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Concur, Salesforce, and/or Paylocity
• Background in small to mid‑sized organizations or lean accounting teams
• Prior lead‑level or Assistant Controller experience
• Multi‑entity or intercompany accounting exposure
