GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Financial Operations Analyst reviews and analyzes the Gadugi Corps Program’s financial statements, operational analysis of investment projects, and provides overall support to the Program in oversight responsibilities.

The Financial Operations Analyst reviews and analyzes the Gadugi Corps Program’s financial statements, operational analysis of investment projects, and provides overall support to the Program in oversight responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes financial data, variances, and trends to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Assists in creating annual budgets and submits to leadership for approval.
- Assists in the preparation of analysis of monthly departmental financial statements, budget reports, and other financial projects as assigned.
- Provides assistance to the Gadugi Corps Program with research and project implementation.
- Prepares and maintains financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership.
- Assists with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitors operating expenses and cost drivers to identify efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates with operational teams to analyze workflow, productivity, and cost impacts.
- Identifies and investigates discrepancies or unusual trends in financial or operational data.
- Provides financial insight to cross-functional teams.
- Reviews policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Cherokee Nation, local, state and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Ensures accuracy of Gadugi Corp’s financial success and sustainability by effectively utilizing forms, processes, systems, and procedures.
- Performs other duties, tasks, and services consistent with this position as assigned.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
- This position directly oversees financial operations assistant.
- Sets work procedures, priorities, levels of responsibility, and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in a related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
