What are the responsibilities and job description for the Promotions Assistant position at Chattanooga Lookouts?
The Promotions Intern plays a key role in helping create a fun, memorable, and engaging ballpark experience for fans. This position supports the Promotions Manager and Team in executing in-game entertainment, theme nights, on-field contests, sponsor activations, mascot interactions, and overall fan engagement. Ideal candidates are energetic, outgoing, detail-oriented, and excited to help bring our game-day atmosphere to life.
- Assist Promotions Manager with planning, preparing, and executing in-game promotions and on-field contests.
- Help coordinate theme nights, pre-game presentations, community activations and National Anthems.
- Work closely with the Promotions Manager to script and organize inning-by-inning entertainment
- Hire and schedule game day staff.
- Assist with mascot operations, including scheduling of community events and hiring game-day performers.
- Interact with fans on the concourse and in the seating bowl to ensure a high-energy, welcoming game-day environment.
- Help oversee promo item distribution, gate giveaways, concourse activations and community partner activations.
- Assist Promotions Manager with sponsor fulfillment by helping ensure all in-game activations run smoothly and professionally.
- Set up and break down promotional materials, signage, props, and entertainment elements before and after each game.
- Participate in non-game events such as mascot appearances and community events.
- Contribute creative ideas for theme nights, on-field games, social media content and new entertainment elements.

The applicant should be a self-motivator who thrives in a team environment; possesses good analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to work effectively with attention to detail in a high-volume sales environment; ability to communicate clearly and resolve guest conflicts; goal oriented; quick learner; proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
The Promotions Assistant may be asked to attend community events such as school visits. The candidate will also be required to be knowledgeable about the happenings of the Lookouts’ season and well versed in Chattanooga Lookouts’ history.
Salary: $1,200 a month
Note: This position requires hours similar to full-time staff members and is designed as a great opportunity for recent graduates to begin their career in the sports industry.
