Charlotte Latin School seeks a Upper Grade Assistant Teacher. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position that will begin in August 2026.
Description
- Assist two lead teachers with daily classroom tasks.
- Assist and/or lead small group work for enrichment and reinforcement.
- Assist in carrying out a variety of age-appropriate and theme-related activities.
- Assist the lead teacher in leading, supervising, and providing classroom structure.
- Provide on campus supervision for play areas to ensure children's safety and learning.
- Supervise lunch every day.
- Provide support and supervision of off-campus excursions.
- Maintain an organized and efficient classroom.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Previous experience in grades 3-5 preferred.
- Interest in teaching Mathematics; Experience with Math in Focus preferred.
- Experience teaching in an independent school preferred.
