Charlotte Latin School is seeking a detailed, flexible, and energetic individual to join our Upper School faculty full-time as an AP Economics teacher in the 2026-2027 academic year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach 3-4 sections of AP Economics
- Partner with colleagues to create and update course curriculum
- Assess students’ performance in a timely and consistent manner
- Within course teams, collaborate with colleagues toward consistency in grading practices
- Provide 1:1 support to students during office hours, before and after school
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current within the field
- Additional responsibilities may include sponsoring extra-curricular activities, advising, and/or coaching.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Business , finance, or a related field is required
- Experience teaching AP courses in an Independent School is preferred

Working Conditions and Environment

- Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked materials, electrical equipment, machinery, low to medium noise levels, and moderate indoor temperatures of heat and cold.
