The Shipping Coordinatoris responsible for coordinating and executing all outbound shipment activities throughthe company systemto ensure accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of customer orders.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None.
- Prepare shipping documentation and process orders.
- Coordinate the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents.
- Utilize ERP or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions.
- Troubleshoot shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers.
- Ensure shipping protocols and documentation meet regulatory requirements or special handling.
- Investigate and resolve shipping non-conformance.
- Operate theforklifttruck/picker or use the hand truck to pick and transport parts and shipments.
- Maintain all warehouse equipment and shipping systems (FedEx, UPS, GP, WMS) in proper working order and perform routine maintenance as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to apply concepts of algebra.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
- Define problems and troubleshoot situations using strong conceptual thinking abilities.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment and mechanical equipment and tools.
- Goodverbaland writtencommunication skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least3years of related experience.
- DOT Hazmat Transportation trainingpreferred.
- Knowledge and experienceofMicrosoft Office Systems.
- Working knowledge ofMRPor similar software programs.
- Ability to operate FedEx, UPS, and LTL online portals.
- Experience with the use offorklifttrucks and/or pickers. Forklift certificationispreferred.
