We hope you'll join our teamJob Description: Medical ScribePosition OverviewA Medical Scribe is responsible for documenting patient encounters in real-time during clinical visits. Working closely with healthcare providers, the scribe captures accurate and comprehensive medical information in the electronic health record (EHR) system, allowing physicians to focus more on patient care and less on documentation.ResponsibilitiesDocument patient encounters in real-time, including patient history, physical exam findings, test results, and treatment plansEnter data accurately into electronic health record systemsAccompany healthcare providers during patient examinationsRecord physician-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions, and instructionsPrepare referral letters and other documentation as neededRetrieve relevant patient information for upcoming appointmentsAssist with organization of medical documents and test resultsMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsSupport clinical workflow efficiencyPerform administrative duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (especially in healthcare-related fields)Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomyExcellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60 WPM)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with electronic health record systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional demeanor and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulationsPreferred ExperiencePrevious experience in healthcare or medical settingsFamiliarity with medical documentation practicesExperience with specific EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.)Certification from a medical scribe programWorking ConditionsThis position requires standing and walking for extended periods.
