About the role
Play a key role in our shipping operations by safely loading trucks with precision-cut aluminum sheet and coil products.- Load Trucks: Use forklifts and cranes to load aluminum coils and sheets safely and accurately.
- Follow Load Plans: Ensure materials are loaded in proper sequence and according to customer specifications.
- Inspect & Secure: Confirm all items are damage-free and properly secured for transit.
- Communicate: Coordinate with shipping, warehouse, and operations teams to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain Safety: Conduct equipment checks and follow all warehouse safety procedures.
This position requires cross-training, and employees may also be assigned to perform other tasks in various departments within the facility.
What we're looking for
- Experience operating forklifts or cranes in a metal service center or similar environment.
- Familiarity with handling large metal products like sheet or coil.
- Ability to read shipping documents, load plans, and basic measurements.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
