Market Intelligence Analyst
Location: Cleveland (Onsite – 4 days in office)

Your Impact
The Market Research Analyst will play a critical role in supporting CHAMP’s growth by delivering actionable insights into market dynamics, competitive trends, and customer behavior across the vehicle titling ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct primary and secondary research on relevant markets (e.g., DMV/state government, insurance carriers, dealerships) to understand size, growth, and trends.
- Track regulatory, technological, and competitive developments related to digital vehicle titling, electronic lien & title (ELT), and national clearinghouse operations.
- Analyze macroeconomic, political, and regulatory factors that could influence CHAMP’s markets or business model.
Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor and profile competitors (other digital titling companies, legacy systems) including their business models, pricing, partnerships, and product roadmap.
- Benchmark CHAMP’s offerings against competitors to identify strengths, gaps, and differentiation opportunities.
- Develop regular reports (e.g., SWOT, competitor heatmaps) for key stakeholders.
Customer Insights
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to gather insights from current and prospective customers (e.g., states, insurers, lenders, dealers).
- Analyze customer data to identify usage patterns, pain points, adoption barriers, and growth levers.
- Build personas, customer segmentations, and buyer journey maps informed by data.
Strategic Recommendations
- Translate data and research into actionable recommendations for business strategy, product development, marketing, and sales.
- Present findings to senior leadership, providing clear, concise, and data-driven insights.
- Support strategic initiatives such as new market entry, product positioning, pricing strategies, and partnerships.
Forecasting & Modeling
- Build market-size models, revenue projections, and opportunity assessments.
- Use data to run “what-if” scenarios (e.g., impact of regulatory change, market expansion) to inform planning.
- Support KPI tracking and performance measurement of strategic initiatives.
Reporting
- Create dashboards, periodic (monthly/quarterly) business intelligence reports, and market trend briefs.
- Maintain a centralized repository of market intelligence (reports, data sources, competitive trackers) for internal use.
Requirements Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Public Policy, or related field; MBA or master’s degree a plus.
- 3–6 years of experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, strategy, management consulting, or business analysis.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to interpret large datasets and translate them into strategic insights.
- Experience with market sizing, financial modeling, and forecasting.
- Excellent research skills: both primary (interviews, surveys) and secondary (industry reports, regulatory filings).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools like Tableau or Power BI) and research platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication — ability to create reports, storyboards, and present to leadership.
- Strategic mindset and business acumen: understands how to link market insights to business outcomes.
- Self-starter: comfortable working cross-functionally and driving projects end-to-end.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience or working knowledge of the automotive ecosystem, titling, registration, subrogation, or insurance.
- Understanding of regulatory environments or public-sector processes, especially related to DMV / state government.
- Familiarity with digital titling, electronic lien and title (ELT), or blockchain-based systems is a plus.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 annually. This is a good faith estimate, and final compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
