The Overnight Youth Worker ensures a safe and supportive environment for youth during night and early morning hours. Key duties include monitoring clients, documenting activity, administering medication, and assisting with morning routines. The role requires professionalism, strong communication, and adherence to treatment plans. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to manage challenging behaviors. Evening and weekend shifts are required.
Key Responsibilities – Overnight Youth Worker
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all clients during overnight hours
- Conduct and document regular bed checks as outlined in care plans
- Assist clients with morning routines in a caring and supportive manner
- Administer and document medications accurately
- Monitor and document client behavior and activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cottage
- Intervene appropriately during behavioral incidents using trained techniques
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Attend required trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions
- Follow all agency policies, licensing standards, and the Chaddock Treatment Model
