Senior Accountant

Location: South Bend, Indiana (Fully Onsite)

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support day-to-day financial operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, managing job cost tracking, and supporting business performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and prepare accurate monthly financial statements
• Process and file payroll taxes, sales & use taxes, and vehicle taxes
• Prepare monthly AIA billings for all active projects
• Monitor accounts receivable and support collections efforts
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare and submit monthly union reports
• Track and analyze job costs to ensure budget alignment
• Coordinate and oversee insurance renewals
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (construction industry experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with AIA billing and job cost accounting preferred
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
