Senior Accountant - Payroll

Our client, a well-established organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant - Payroll to join its growing team. This role is ideal for an Accountant with strong payroll expertise who enjoys accuracy, compliance, and contributing to a collaborative finance environment. The Payroll Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring timely processing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Senior Accountant - Payroll Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

Senior Accountant - Payroll Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational activities to ensure smooth business processes.
• Oversee full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Administer payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance with tax laws, and timely processing.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and assist with year-end tax preparation.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and mentor finance and administrative staff as needed.
  
  

Senior Accountant - Payroll Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in operations management or accounting with a focus on operations, as well as payroll oversight.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Great Plains, ADP or similar) and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience managing teams is a plus.
