Property Accountant

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 (Depending on Experience)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (On-site)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties
• Analyze retail leases, abstract lease terms, and maintain accurate lease information within accounting systems
• Complete CAM, real estate tax, and insurance reconciliations while calculating tenant billings
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Monitor tenant accounts, rent rolls, collections, and account reconciliations
• Support internal controls, audits, and financial compliance initiatives
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 1-5 years of commercial real estate or retail property accounting experience
• Working knowledge of CAM reconciliations and retail lease structures, including NNN and percentage rent
• Experience with Yardi, MRI, or RealPage, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills
