The Project Accountant will play a key role in supporting project teams, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating across departments in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities – Project Accountant
- Provide accounting support to multiple construction project teams
- Post and apply cash receipts against project pay applications
- Review invoices, purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders for accuracy and compliance
- Assist with job cost accounting, budget setup, and cost adjustments
- Process employee credit card transactions and expense reports
- Prepare journal entries, internal invoices, and monthly allocations
- Support month‑end close activities and assist with financial forecasting
- Complete credit applications and assist with vendor setup and prequalification
- Collaborate with vendors, project managers, superintendents, and internal stakeholders
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Associate or Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- Strong Accounts Receivable experience required
- Job cost accounting experience required
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience reviewing invoices, expenses, and project‑related financial documentation
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across teams
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in an onsite office environment
Salary : $62,500 - $70,000
