This role is ideal for a payroll professional with hands-on experience in prevailing wage and union payroll, who is comfortable working in a deadline-driven, compliance-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and/or biweekly payroll using ADP for hourly and salaried employees
- Administer prevailing wage payroll, including certified payroll reporting and compliance
- Manage union payroll, including dues, benefits, and multi-union requirements
- Ensure accurate job costing and labor allocation by project
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and labor regulations
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports and respond to audits or compliance inquiries
- Reconcile payroll reports, taxes, benefits, and garnishments
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and operations to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policy
- 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in construction or a related industry
- Demonstrated experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll
- Hands-on experience processing union payroll
- Proficiency with ADP payroll systems required
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and labor compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
