This position is onsite and in office 5 days/week, but they offer a ton of flexibility with their employees.
Salary: $95,000 - $120,000
About The Role
As the Payroll Manager, you’ll oversee the end-to-end payroll function for a workforce of 1000 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Controller with dotted line to CFO, you’ll handle payroll processing, tax filings, benefits administration, and more—all while playing a pivotal role in supporting the company’s financial operations and employee satisfaction. The Payroll Manager will also oversee and manage two direct reports on their team!

Payroll Manager Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the entire payroll process for all employees
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local wage and hour laws, and support related audits.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and provide guidance on regulations to employees and management.
- Implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures to streamline operations.
- Prepare analytical reports and reconcile payroll tax accounts for accurate reporting.
- Manage time and labor systems, assisting new hires with time-off tracking and requests.
- Handle final pay, severance payouts, and agency notices, and oversee unemployment and local account registrations.
- Contribute to audits, tax filings, and other payroll-related financial activities.
Payroll Manager Qualifications
- BS degree preferred, and open to relevant experience
- 5 years of multi-state payroll experience
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, WorkDay, Paychex, etc. preferred
- Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and local payroll laws.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
