About The Role
The Manager, Accounts Receivable & Credit will be responsible for managing the full A/R cycle—including collections, cash application, bank reconciliation, monthly close activities, and resolving customer payment issues. This role also oversees credit evaluations for new and existing customers and leads a team of A/R analysts, collections specialists, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities For The Manager, Accounts Receivable & Credit
- Oversee and maintain the accounts receivable ledger, billing systems, and internal controls.
- Manage cash application, bank reconciliation, and resolution of payment issues.
- Ensure timely month‑end close, A/R aging reports, and other reconciliation reporting for leadership.
- Serve as the primary collections agent, ensuring prompt resolution of past‑due accounts.
- Develop strong communication lines with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate, timely payment.
- Conduct credit reviews, maintain credit files, and manage “A” list and credit‑watch customers.
- Provide leadership and direction to A/R team members, promoting a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required.
- 6–9 years of related A/R and credit experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, financial software, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with Infor Infinium financial software a plus.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
