Essential Duties And Responsibilities Of The IT Contracts Manager
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all IT-related contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, amending, renewing, and administering agreements for IT goods and services.
- Coordinate contract review and approval workflows between Purchasing, Legal, Risk Management, and Information Technology departments.
- Ensure compliance with business, legal, financial, and operational requirements for all IT contracts and procurement documents.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, service levels, and modifications under delegated authority and recommend award decisions.
- Monitor contract performance, compliance, and renewal timelines to ensure uninterrupted IT services and cost efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and suppliers throughout the contract review and negotiation process, addressing concerns and clarifying terms.
- Assist in the resolution of contract disputes and interpretation of contractual obligations.
- Partner with IT leadership and vendor management teams to drive cost transparency, forecast accuracy, and value realization across software, infrastructure, cloud, and other technology services.
- Maintain accurate records within contract lifecycle management and tracking systems.
- Ensure standardization and consistency of procurement documentation, contracts, statements of work (SOWs), and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Support audits and reporting related to IT contracts, vendor performance, and compliance metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 4 years managing IT contracts.
- 5 years of experience with contract lifecycle management platforms, ideally supporting IT procurement or technology operations, or working in a similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of IT contract types, including SaaS agreements, subscription licensing, cloud services, consulting agreements, SOWs, and SLAs.
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, administration, interpretation, and dispute resolution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities.
- Prior experience using contract tracking or contract management systems required.
- Lawson experience is highly preferred.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Power BI, ServiceNow (ITFM & ITAM), Oracle, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, and COBIT.
