An established and mission-driven organization in Southwest Michigan is seeking an experienced Grant Writer to join their team! This individual will play a key role in securing funding by identifying, developing, and managing grant opportunities that align with the organization’s strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government, foundation, and corporate sources.
- Write, edit, and submit approximately 30 grant proposals per year, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with funding priorities.
- Develop compelling narratives and supporting materials for grant applications.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather data, budgets, and project details for proposals.
- Present and report on grant opportunities and outcomes to leadership for review and approval.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional grant writing experience, preferably within a nonprofit or educational organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with grant management software is a plus.
