Job Summary

Responsible to Nuclear Generation for assuring that all procedures used by Maintenance, Operations, and all applicable departments, meet the requirements of I&M, AEPSC, and Regulatory Agencies policies and procedures.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

• Write and develop new procedures and changes to existing procedures as assigned.
• Review plant documents for procedure impact.
• Coordinate with other departments and organizations during procedure development and revision process.
• Maintain associated procedure databases and records.
• Participate in benchmarking and self-assessment plans.
• Investigate and provide responses to condition reports assigned to the procedure section.
• Perform other procedure-related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Procedure Writer:

Education & Experience:

• Associate's degree in Business, or Engineering/Nuclear Technology.
• Or experience as follows; 6 years in a nuclear facility to include 4 years technical experience and 2 years as a procedure/technical writer.

Procedure Writer, Senior:

Education & Experience:

• Associate's degree in Business, or Engineering/Nuclear Technology.
• Or experience as follows: 8 years in a nuclear facility to include 6 years technical experience and 2 years as a procedure/technical writer.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (APPLIES TO ALL LEVELS):

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong process improvement/analytical skills.
• Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.

Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive to the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant.

Salary ranges posted from minimum to mid-point:

• Procedure Writer Range: $86,783 - $108,480
• Procedure Writer, Sr. Range: $98,032 - $ 127,439
