- Oversee accounting functions, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Manage the management reporting process on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Coordinate general ledger month-end close, ensuring timely completion of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review monthly financial results and analyze profit and loss at entity and consolidated levels.
- Streamline processes for recording journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting guidelines for all accounting activities.
- Consolidate entries and prepare roll-forwards for financial statement preparation.
- Communicate accounting issues and evolving guidance to management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on system enhancements and business requirements.
- Provide input for budget planning and monitor fiscal performance.
- Implement controls to manage business risks and maintain financial integrity.
- Assess staffing needs and foster an ethical, collaborative work environment.
- Support and guide staff accountants.
- Assist external auditors as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of experience in financial operations
- Background in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) or manufacturing industry
- CPA designation or MBA (a plus)
- Experience with SAP platform (a plus)
