We’re partnering with a well-established and growing security solutions company in the Bakersfield area that is looking to add a Design Estimator to their team. This organization has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, customized systems and offers a collaborative environment where technical expertise is valued and developed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical design side and the field aspect of projects, with the ability to bring systems to life from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
Design and estimate security systems including burglary, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV
Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to create system layouts and project plans
Review project specs and develop accurate, detailed estimates
Participate in job walks to assess project scope, site conditions, and client needs
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements
Assist with basic fieldwork as needed, including use of hand tools
Qualifications
Experience designing low-voltage/security systems (burglary, fire, access control, CCTV)
Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
Comfortable conducting job walks and working in the field as needed
Basic hand tool knowledge and willingness to be hands-on when required
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
