Job Description
The Body Shop Estimator helps ensure the overall efficiency, profitability, and reputation of our auto body shop operations by providing timely, accurate, and customer-approved estimates for repair work. He/she communicates with customers and insurance companies daily and documents estimates and the necessary repair work according to established industry standards and insurance company regulations.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (some post-secondary education or training preferred) and one year of experience in a similar position in a large-volume automotive facility. Candidates must have a working knowledge of the automotive industry; an aptitude and interest in automotive repair; strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills; and exceptional interpersonal skills and must be able to drive a manual transmission and pass a color blind test for paint matching.

Responsibilities
- Exceeds our customer expectations in all aspects of the job
- Accurately communicates with insurance company and the customer the status of the vehicle and necessary information
- Prepares estimates for repair work according to dealership, insurance company, and industry standards
- Oversees delivery of repairs and manages customer expectations
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Delivers repaired vehicle to the customer and insures their complete satisfaction with the results
- Inputs information into related programs daily
- One year of relevant experience
- Proficiently use CCC One estimating system
- Excellent customer service focus
- Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired
- Clean DMV record
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission
- Must be able to pass a color blind test for matching paint
- ICAR certifications a plus
- Bilingual preferred
